On the last night of Group Stage action, Barcelona fail to reach the knockout phase for the first time in 20 years. As the Group Stage reaches its climax, Atletico overcome Porto to become the latest team to book their place in the Round of 16. Diego Simeone’s men won 3-1 in Portugal while Milan went down 2-1 at home to Liverpool – we hear from their manager Jurgen Klopp as the Reds made it 6 wins out of 6 in Group B. Real Madrid sealed top spot in Group D with a 2-0 win over Inter - we hear from their defender Denzel Dumfries. And in Germany RB Leipzig beat Group A winner Manchester City to qualify for the Europa League – we get reaction from a disappointed Pep Guardiola. Elsewhere there were convincing wins for Ajax, Dortmund and Paris.

Matchday 5 was rounded off with 5 more teams confirming their places in the Round of 16: City and Paris both progress from Group A despite the French side losing 2-1 in Manchester; Real Madrid and Inter qualify from Group D after convincing wins; and Sporting go through as runners up behind Ajax in Group C after a dramatic 3-1 victory over Dortmund. Elsewhere in Group B, Liverpool maintain their 100% record against Porto and Milan keep their qualification hopes alive after a dramatic late winner against Atletico.
