Defending champions Manchester City had to come from behind as they started their title defence with a 3-1 home win against Crvena Zvezda – we hear from the scorer of their third goal Rodri. However, the moment of the night came in Rome, with Lazio goalkeeper Ivan Provedel scoring an extraordinary late header to earn his side a dramatic point against Atletico.

Manchester City overcame Inter Milan 1-0 in a closely fought Istanbul final to claim their first ever Champions League title. A second half strike from Rodri proved the difference as Pep Guardiola’s men sealed a historic treble.
